As summer reaches its height, many are anxiously awaiting the beginning of fall and kickoff of the 2013 college football season. All eyes will be on the Birmingham-based Southeastern Conference to see if it can retain possession of the BCS trophy for an eighth-straight season.
The attention the SEC has generated has even reached as far as the real estate business on the west coast.
California-based Movoto Real Estate ranked all 14 college towns in the Southeastern Conference to determine which city was the best for sports fans.
And it's no surprise which city earned number one: Tuscaloosa, home to the University of Alabama.
The rankings were based on best tailgating experience, sports bars, attendance, rival wins and championships.
With the quad, the strip, a stadium filled with more than 100,000 fans and two consecutive national championships, Tuscaloosa proves to be the most popular college town in the SEC.
